Pathos
In the past couple days in class we discussed the emotional content of pathos in the covers we decided to use. We learned a picture can have an emotional connection with its viewer. In the process of viewing our cover and our classmates we had to find our emotions that we felt about it. Using strong words or phrases such as Erik's and Corinne's when they wrote "eyes glistening with tears and fear" about the baby in the cover getting his vaccinations or Dylan and Sandra's paragraph when they used quotes such as "When the music died" and "Give peace a chance" about John Lennon being on the cover. These writers brought out the emotional content of their covers.

Pathos is the emotional content of the paragraph.

Argument
The argument the author is making is that during summer low income kids lose knowledge due to the lack of summer enrichment programs.
